L’Ai??chelleAi??francophone d’apprAi??ciation du rendement- EFARAi??est un outil permettant l’Ai??valuation individuelle du rendement des Ai??lA?ves de la premiA?re Ai?? la dixiA?me annAi??e. Dix sous-tests rAi??partis dans trois composantes (Lecture, Ai??critureAi??etAi??MathAi??matiques) permettent Ai?? l’examinateur d’obtenir des informations sur le fonctionnement de l’Ai??lA?ve dans ces domaines d’apprentissage tout en mesurant les aptitudes enAi??FluiditAi??, enAi??ApplicationAi??et enAi??RaisonnementAi??dans ces mA?mes domaines.

La composanteAi??LectureAi??comprend quatre sous-tests:Ai??Lecture de lettres et de motsAi??qui permet d’Ai??valuer l’habiletAi?? TheAi??ReadingAi??composite is comprised of four subtests:Ai??Reading FluencyAi??that measures the speed at which a student can read and comprehend a group of words or a sentence;Ai??Letter and Word ReadingAi??that measures the word decoding skills;Ai??Reading ComprehensionAi??that measures the ability to comprehend a word, a group of words, a sentence or a passage and;Ai??PseudowordsAi??that measures the grapho-phonetic decoding.

TheAi??WritingAi??composite is comprised of three subtests:Ai??Writing FluencyAi??that measures principally the speed and precision in writing sentences;Ai??SpellingAi??that measures the ability to correctly write dictated words;Ai??Written ExpressionAi??that measures the ability to write a sentence in a variety of writing contexts.

The Mathematics composite is comprised of three subtests:Ai??Mathematics FluencyAi??that measures the speed and precision in solving simple mathematical operations and series;Ai??Mathematic OperationsAi??that measures the ability to solve mathematical operations and;Ai??Mathematic ReasoningAi??that measures the ability to solve mathematical problems.

The Fluency aptitude is measured by the Reading, Writing and Mathematics Fluency subtests. The Application aptitude is measured by the Letter and Word Reading, Spelling and Mathematics Operations subtests. The Reasoning aptitude is measured by the Reading Comprehension, Written Expression and Mathematics Reasoning subtests.

  1. J’ai vite lu la description de ces tests, cependant, est-ce pour les élèves francophones (langue 1ère le français) en milieu majoritaire, pour ceux en milieu minoritaire ou ceux en immersion ? Il y a d’énormes différences et besoins langagiers parmi ceux-ci.

    • Il y a effectivement des différences entre ces trois groupes, les plus importantes étant entre ceux unilingues francophones en milieu majoritaires et les autres. La différence entre ceux bilingues étudiant le français en milieu minoritaire ou en immersion est plus subtile. Des normes différentes adressent ces différences. Le test est conçu pour les élèves étudiant en milieu minoritaire.
